I remember exactly where I discovered this song, a few years back on Shade 45, Sirius XM’s amazing hip-hop channel that is owned by Eminem. Shade 45 is one of the most underrated resources when it comes to this hip-hop ish. I could go on and on, about Shade 45, though that probably requires a separate post. What makes Shade 45 dope is that they have legendary producers and DJs that do sets every week, and Sunday is usually held down by DJ Big Von. Not gonna front like I know who he is, but after a quick Google search it looks like he’s worked at KMEL, a well-known radio station in the Bay Area. That probably explains his good taste as the San Francisco region has produced some amazing and unique rap music over the years.. praise The Hyphy Movement.
Lloyd Banks is one of the original members of G-Unit and in my opinion the most talented member behind 50. “Whip Pussy” was supposed to be on his follow up album to his debut, but I guess the album got shelved for some reason or another. I should probably seek out other tracks from this album, as this one is a monster of a track. I’m obsessed with this hypnotic beat, and Banks turned it into an anthem for men who are in need of a reminder that women only control us if we let them. Damn these powerful women with their curves and their moist crevices. I implore all men who are currently being seduced by a lady to blast this track with the windows down for all to hear, as we must stand united.
I’ve played this song an ungodly amount of times. I just looked up the producer and HOLY SHIT it’s The Alchemist… that is actually shocking to me. It sounds nothing like an Alc beat. This is one of his best beats of all-time.. I put it up there with “The Realest” by Mobb Deep. That just blew my mind… anyways, great song that is only on YouTube.. praise the Tube.

I wrote this blog for a few reasons. One is because nobody in my circle of friends ever puts me on to music or things that are dope that I haven't heard about (step your game up friends!) as few people nerd out as hard as me on the dumb things I focus on. The other and main reason is because I am so tired of The NeedleDrop and Pitchfork, from the way Fantano talks about music, to the way that Pitchfork writes about it. Both cause me physical pain to read or watch, yet I for some reason occasionally check their review scores, because they are the only sites I know that do stay on top of music (to a degree), and they focus on genres that I'm not tapped into, so occasionally I find something good. Is it worth the pain? No. So let me save you the pain, by only sharing with you my favorites, and maybe you'll find a new favorite. Oh and I also love talking shit, so I'll do that too, but this blog is about showing love to great art.
