Best Hip-Hop Track of 2022

It’s very rare I discover an artist that blows my mind, especially one who was just under my nose. But this year, I was converted into an A$AP Ant Stan, and Pudge Rodriguez is the easiest, smoothest, and simultaneously hardest song to listen to, it never really gets old to me. I put this up there with the greatest of the A$AP canon. I used the word canon to sound smart. I’m hella smart.
A$AP Ant is the secret weapon of the A$AP Mob, but he’s also not so much of a secret, as he has a whopping 2.45 million Spotify followers. He was just a secret to me. I feel like a miner who hit a huge pot of gold. A$AP Ant isn’t a one hit wonder, Pudge Rodriguez is just a masterpiece. His other track that dropped in 2022, “The God Hour”, featuring one of my all-time favorites A$AP Rocky, is a monster of a track too, and should be on EVERY ONE OF THESE DUMBASS BLOGS end of year list(s).
With Pudge Rodriguez bumping, you can do many things. Great for a drive, when you’re high as fuck at 1 AM, coming down from being high at 4 AM, at the beach, shooting some hoops, and I think it could even kill at a party, towards the end of the night though.
I’m gonna do a write up on A$AP Ant’s album, but if you don’t have the attention span for a full album (which you should as you are capable of reading words), listen to Pudge Rodriguez

About
The Author
I wrote this blog for a few reasons. One is because nobody in my circle of friends ever puts me on to music or things that are dope that I haven't heard about (step your game up friends!) as few people nerd out as hard as me on the dumb things I focus on. The other and main reason is because I am so tired of The NeedleDrop and Pitchfork, from the way Fantano talks about music, to the way that Pitchfork writes about it. Both cause me physical pain to read or watch, yet I for some reason occasionally check their review scores, because they are the only sites I know that do stay on top of music (to a degree), and they focus on genres that I'm not tapped into, so occasionally I find something good. Is it worth the pain? No. So let me save you the pain, by only sharing with you my favorites, and maybe you'll find a new favorite. Oh and I also love talking shit, so I'll do that too, but this blog is about showing love to great art.
